Bonus Terms Explained
Plain English definitions for every term you'll encounter in a bonus T&C — no jargon, no confusion
Wagering Requirement / Rollover
This is the number of times you need to bet your bonus amount before you can withdraw any winnings from it. It is the most important number in any bonus offer. A lower rollover is always better for the player.
Example: You claim a MYR 100 bonus with a 20x rollover. You must place bets totalling MYR 2,000 (MYR 100 × 20) before the bonus-derived balance becomes withdrawable.
Maximum Bet During Bonus
When playing with an active bonus balance, most casinos set a per-bet ceiling — typically between MYR 250 and MYR 500 per round or spin. Exceeding this limit can void your bonus and any winnings it generated.
Example: If the max bet during bonus is MYR 300 and you wager MYR 400 in a single spin, the casino reserves the right to forfeit that bonus entirely.
Game Contribution Rate
Not all games count equally toward your wagering requirement. Slots typically contribute 100%, meaning every MYR 1 wagered on a slot counts as MYR 1 toward rollover. Table games like baccarat or roulette often contribute only 10–20%.
Example: Betting MYR 100 on a slot clears MYR 100 of rollover. The same MYR 100 bet on a live blackjack table (10% contribution) only clears MYR 10.
Bonus Expiry
Every bonus has a validity window — after this date, any unplayed bonus funds and associated winnings are forfeited. Common windows are 7, 14, or 30 days from the moment the bonus is credited to your account.
Example: A welcome bonus credited on 1 January with a 14-day expiry must have its wagering requirement completed by 15 January or the bonus is removed.
Sticky vs Non-Sticky Bonus
A sticky bonus stays in your account during play but cannot be withdrawn directly — only the profits generated from it can be cashed out. A non-sticky bonus is added to your real-money balance and is separable once wagering is complete.
Example: With a MYR 100 sticky bonus, if you build your balance to MYR 350 and meet the wagering requirement, you withdraw MYR 250 (winnings only) — not the MYR 100 bonus itself.
Maximum Cash-Out (Bonus Cap)
Some bonuses place an upper limit on how much you can withdraw from bonus-derived winnings, regardless of how much you actually won. This protects the operator from extreme outlier outcomes and is clearly stated in the bonus T&C.
Example: A MYR 50 free spin bonus with a MYR 500 maximum cash-out means that even if you win MYR 3,000 from those spins, only MYR 500 is withdrawable from that bonus session.
Minimum Deposit for Bonus Activation
Most welcome or reload bonuses require a qualifying deposit — a minimum amount you must top up to trigger the bonus. Depositing below this threshold means the bonus is not activated, even if the promotion is active.
Example: A 100% deposit match bonus with a minimum deposit of MYR 50 means you need to deposit at least MYR 50 to receive the bonus. A MYR 30 deposit would not qualify.
